Zefram Cochrane, later known as "Zefram Cochrane of Alpha Centauri," was a human man who lived during mid-21st century, famed as the creator of Earth's first warp capable space ship, the Phoenix, who subsequently made first contact with the Vulcans on the fifth of April, 2063.
