Vobilin was an inhabited planet in the Alpha Quadrant, and the homeworld of the Vobilite species. Humans made first contact with Vobilin prior to the 2150s, and the planet became an early member of the United Federation of Planets shortly after its founding. (ST novel: Star Trek: Year One)
