The USS Emmett Till (NCC-2277) was a Federation Starfleet vessel, launched in the late 24th century.
In 2395, her commanding officer was Captain Ezri Dax, and Dax's husband, Dr. Julian Bashir served as her chief medical officer. At that time, she was on an exploratory mission in the Gamma Quadrant.
That year, the Emmett Till diverted to Deep Space 9, so that Captain Dax and Dr. Bashir could attend the funeral of Vic Fontaine. That proved to be a ruse concocted by Captain Nog of the USS Defiant in order to get a message to his old friends, DS9's former command crew. The Emmett Till then became embroiled in an investigation into the destruction of the Defiant, which would led to a conflict with both Section 31 and the Bajoran government.
