The Tyrheddans were a humanoid species from the Alpha Quadrant. They had leathery, brown skin layered in folds, with tiny, round ears and a single eye. Tyrheddan voices were typically "gravelly" to human ears, and their laugh sounded like stones grinding together.
Tyrheddans were well-known to the Federation by the early 24th century, and were among the residents or merchants on the orbital city of Oblivion. Some served also served in Oblivion's constabulary. (Star Trek: Stargazer novel: Oblivion)

- The Tyrheddans are among many races created by author Michael Jan Friedman, and featured as supporting or background characters in several of his Star Trek novels. Like most of his creations, little information is known about them.
