The Typhon sector was a region of space in the Beta Quadrant of the Milky Way Galaxy. It was on the coreward edge of Federation space in the 24th century, and lay along the so-called "Borg Vector." A large portion of the sector and surrounding areas was dominated by the massive Typhon Expanse. (Star Trek: Star Charts; Star Trek: Pendragon)
In 2373, a Starfleet armada under the command of Admiral Jeremiah Hayes engaged a Borg cube in the Typhon sector, and pursued it all the way to Sector 001. (Star Trek: First Contact)
