The Tullus sector was a region of space in the Beta Quadrant, on the coreward frontier of the Romulan Star Empire. A dense globular star cluster, the Tullus Cluster, dominated the region, which was largely unexplored by the Romulans as of the 2370s. Two notable species, the N'virii and the Pollarians were native to the sector.
Despite the lack of attention from the Romulans, the sector was explored by the Taurhai, as well as the Breen, who made contact with the Pollarians circa 2369. By the mid-2370s, the Romulan Senate authorized more extensive surveys of the region with an eye toward colonizing the sector before the Taurhai could claim it for their own.
