Taryl was an Orion woman living in the 23rd century. Not blessed with potent pheromones, she decided to join Starfleet rather than face death or life as a slave.
In 2268, she was an ensign, and newly assigned to the USS Sagittarius. She was described as young woman with close-cropped, raven-colored hair. (VAN novel: Declassified)
