Taris was a Romulan female who lived during the 24th century. In 2365, she held the rank of subcommander in the Romulan Star Navy, and served as commanding officer of the warbird IRW Haakona. (TNG: "Contagion")
She eventually reached the rank of admiral and was a prominent leader after the Romulan supernova. In 2391, she became Praetor, and held that title until she was deposed by Velal and Sela in 2403. (The Path to 2409)
