T'Lal was a Vulcan female who served in Starfleet during the 24th century. In 2371, she was a Vice Admiral and Director of Administration for Starfleet Intelligence.
T'Lal was born on Bolarus, and entered Starfleet Academy at the age of 18. She initially envisioned a career as a scientist, before ultimately switching to the command track. During her time at the Academy, she met an officer who later revealed to her his role in Intelligence. After graduation, she requested training with SI, and after completion of that program, she was assigned to a diplomatic mission on Aldon II. It was there that then Lieutuenant T'Lal violated her orders and breached regulations, under circumstances that have been classified.
Following a lengthy career in analyzing signals intelligence from the Romulan Star Empire, T'Lal was eventually promoted to Captain, then the admiralty, and assigned as Director of Administration. Semi-affectionately nicknamed "The Duchess" by her subordinates, Director T'Lal was known for her attention to detail and insistence that everything be done "by the book." However, despite her cold, Vulcan aloofness and seemingly uncaring attitude, those who worked closely with her knew that she cared deeply about the personnel under her command.
