Starbase 257 was a Sigma-class Federation starbase active during mid-to-late 24th century. It was located in the Alpha Quadrant near the Federation-Cardassian Border, in the vicinity of the Rolor Nebula and the Dreon system, on the other side of the Badlands from the Bajor sector.
