Starbase 185, aka Typhon Station
Starbase 185, also known as Typhon Station, was as Federation starbase in the 24th and 25th centuries. On the coreward edge of Federation space in the Beta Quadrant, near one edge of the Typhon Expanse. It was one of the main command and control facilities for vessels operating in the Expanse. - According to the Typhon Station sim, the station orbited the planet Ladon. It remains to be seen if this holds true in Pendragon continuity.
As of 2365, Starbase 185 was the closest starbase to System J-25, and lay along what came to be known as the "Borg vector." (TNG: "Q Who?", Typhon Station, Star Trek: Pendragon)
Beginning in 2379, it was considered the homeport for the USS Titan during her exploration of the Beta Quadrant. (TTN novel: Taking Wing)
It remained Starfleet's closest facility to the Delta Quadrant into the 2380s, at least. (VOY novel: Protectors)
In late 2399, Lieutenant Adam Mallory was assigned to Typhon Station as chief science officer. (Typhon Station)
