Slokat was a Class M planet in the Demilitarized Zone between the Cardassian Union and the United Federation of Planets. It was the site of a human colony that was ceded to the Union in 2370.
During the Dominion War the planet was invaded and occupied by the Cardassians and Jem'Hadar. The human population was largely unharmed by the occupying forces, and when the Jem'Hadar began killing the Cardassians at the end of the war in 2375, some of the colonists helped Cardassians to survive.
In 2376, Slokat was receiving aid from the starship Lotus, on behalf of the the Allied Reconstruction Forces. (DS9 novel: The Never-Ending Sacrifice)
