Ross 614, also known as Aldus, was a binary star system in the Beta Quadrant, just over 13 light-years from Sol. Its planetary system contained at least seven planets, including Aldus Prime, site of Earth Colony 3. Aldus IV was home to an indigenous, pre-industrial species (possibly a lost Orion colony). - In Valen's universe, it was known to humans as the Orion system, and home to a number of Earth Alliance colonies.
