Purdi's Book Emporium was a business in San Francisco in the 2280s, owned and run by a male Troyian named Purdi. Purdi's sold books on disk and in "read while you sleep" editions, and also fulfilled special requests to print and bind books of paper pages. After several recommendations, Admiral James T. Kirk purchased a printed copy of Strangers from the Sky from Purdi's, at considerable expense. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky)
