The Orion sector was a region of space in the Beta Quadrant of the Milky Way Galaxy. The Orion system and Coridan system were located in this sector. Despite being well within the core of Federation territory, the area remained somewhat lawless, even into the 24th century, mostly thanks to Orion influence.
