Omega Squadron was a training unit at Starfleet Academy, typically consisting of between four and six cadets from a single academic year.
During the 2350s, Cadet Paul Rice was assigned to Omega Squadron. (TLE novel: Deny Thy Father)
For the class of 2372-2376, Omega Squadron consisted of Cadets Kamilah Goldstein, Matthew Decker, T'Priell, Pava sh'Aqabaa, and Nog. After Goldstein's murder by First Cadre, Edam Astrun joined the squad. During this period, the squadron's field advisor was Commander Kyethn Zund. (Star Trek: Starfleet Academy)
