Una, also known as Number One, was a female human who served in Starfleet during the 23rd century. In the 2250s, she served as first officer and helmsman aboard the USS Enterprise under Captain Christopher Pike. (TOS: "The Cage"; Star Trek: Early Voyages; DSC: "An Obol for Charon")
She was born on Illyria in the early 23rd century, and had two brothers, Hudek and Leighton. Her given birthname name was unpronounceable to non-Illyrians, so she had adopted the mononym Una at least by her Starfleet Academy days. (TOS novel: Vulcan's Glory; The Children of Kings)
During the late 2240s, Una served with Christopher Pike aboard the USS Yorktown. In 2251, she transferred Pike when he was given command of the Enterprise, serving as his first officer. She would serve in that position for the rest of the decade, until her own promotion to captain and command of the Yorktown in the early 2260s. She was promoted to Commodore in 2270, and again to Admiral later in the decade, all the while remaining in command of the Yorktown.
