Nivoch was an inhabited planet near the Federation-Cardassian border and the Demilitarized Zone that maintained neutrality from both powers. Due to being caught in the middle of the Dominion War, the inhabitants of Nivoch did not welcome either Federation or Cardassian citizens. (VOY: "Prime Factors"; DTI novel: Watching the Clock)
