Dr. Maximilian "Max" Eilerson was a 23rd century human archaeologist, who worked for Interplanetary Expeditions and consulted with Starfleet. (Star Trek: Pendragon)
Eilerson was born on Mars in 2215. A child prodigy, he had a gift for understanding technology and languages, and his "smart mouth" would often get him in trouble with bullies at school. His parents raised him in virtual seclusion, though he sometimes "escaped" his tutors to explore the city within Mars Dome One.
By early adulthood, he held four academic degrees, and had established himself as a xenoarchaeologist and linguist. He married art dealer Cynthia Allen, but they soon divorced when he joined Interplanetary Expeditions and their careers took them in opposite directions.
In 2267, Dr. Eilerson led an archaeological dig on Ceti IV, which had once been the home of an advanced civilization some 10,000 years before. The expedition discovered one of the planet's ancient underground cities. (Star Trek: Pendragon)
