Ktarians were a species of humanoids from the planet Ktaris, in the Alpha Quadrant. They were independent until the late 24th century, but were nonetheless long-standing allies of the Federation, and its precursor Coalition of Planets. Ktarian gestation lasted approximately 18 months. It was possible for Ktarians to produce offspring with humans. Hybrids such as Naomi Wildman were known to age through childhood rather quickly compared to humans. (VOY: "Deadlock", "Mortal Coil", "Fury", "Homestead"; VOY novel: Full Circle)
