Kaminar, sometimes erroneously called Kelpia, was a class M world, the fourth in its star system. It was home to two sapient species, the Ba'ul and the Kelpiens. (ST: "The Brightest Star"; DSC: "An Obol for Charon")
Sometime between the mid-23rd century and The Burn in the 31st century, Kaminar joined the United Federation of Planets. (DSC: "Die Trying")
