The Iotians were a humanoid species from the planet Sigma Iotia II. They were known as an imitative people, able to learn quickly. After first contact was made by the USS Horizon, this ability led to Iotians forming a society based on gangster culture from 1920s Chicago. (TOS: "A Piece of the Action")
