The Invictus class was a type of Federation starbase in use during the 24th century. It shared design elements with both the smaller Sigma-class and the much older Regula-class class stations, though greatly upscaled. Starbase 173 was an example of this class, constructed in Sector 23 in 2365. (TNG: "The Measure of a Man")
Deep Space 5 was also an Invictus-class station. In 2370, it was one of several facilities responsible for new starship development. (TNG: "Parallels")
- The name "Invictus class" is a nod to the FASA roleplaying game, which called the Regula-class stations (the same model, though smaller in size) "R1 Invictus" class stations.
