Dr. Hugh Cambridge, circa 2380
Dr. Hugh Cambridge was a human male. A psychologist, he served in Starfleet as a counselor during the latter half of the 24th century.
Cambridge was born in Bristol, Earth in the 2320s. He earned his doctorate from the University of Oxford, and subsequently attended Starfleet Academy.
During the 2360s, Cambridge was assigned to the USS Melbourne. During the Battle of Wolf 359, he helped many of his crewmates to the escape pods, and was one of the few survivors of the battle. Afterwards, he spent the next decade serving at Starfleet Medical.
In 2378, Dr. Cambridge was assigned to the newly-returned USS Voyager under Captain Chakotay. Initially, the two did not get along, with Cambridge's frankness and seeming disregard for protocol troubled his new commanding officer. By 2381, however, they had come to understand one another and develop a deep mutual respect. (VOY novel: Full Circle)
