Gamma 400 and vicinity
The Gamma 400 system, known as Aladso to the Orions, was a planetary system in Federation space and the location of Starbase 12 and the planet Rontelm. (TOS: "Space Seed"; FASA: The Orions: Book of Common Knowledge)
The system was proximate to Beta Rigel, Deneva, Coridan, Pi-3 Orionis, Pollux and Tau Eridani. (Star Trek: Star Charts)
The system had at least six planets, only the third of which, Rontelm, was Class M. The outer worlds and moons all had mining operations designed to support Starbase 12 and its construction and repair facilities. (FASA: The Orions: Book of Common Knowledge)
