Ferasa Prime was the third planet of the Ferasa system. Fomerly a Kzinti world in ancient times, it was the homeworld of the Ferasans, and originally, the Caitians. Ferasa Prime was located in the Alpha Quadrant.
In the 17th century, a controversial eugenics and genetic engineering program led to the augmentation of the majority of the Ferasan populace. The non-augmented minority were forced to leave the planet, and eventually settled on Cait. (Star Trek Online)
