Early common era

The early common era covers a period of time from the first century CE to the end of the 19th century.

The notation BCE ("Before the Common Era") and CE ("Common Era") are alternative notations for BC ("Before Christ") and AD ("anno Domini"), respectively.

3rd century

• Around this time, civilization dawns on the planet Brakir. (Babylon 5)
• According to one account, this is roughly the time that Caprica and the rest of the Twelve Colonies begin to rediscover spaceflight. (Battlestar Galactica)

10th century

• Sean's Bar opens in Athlone, Ireland in the year 900. (Star Trek: Pendragon)

13th century

• An extinction-level event occurs on Chi Draconis VII, wiping out the humanoid population, and rendering the planet uninhabitable for a millennia. (Star Trek: Pendragon)
• According to one account, this is the era when the reptilian Cylons are overthrown by their robotic servants and establish the Cylon Empire. Shortly thereafter, the a thousand-year war between the robotic Cylons and the Twelve Colonies begins. (Battlestar Galactica)

15th century

• 1484: The Turei lead a coalition of Delta Quadrant species to victory over the Vaadwaur, driving them into near extinction. (VOY: "Dragon's Teeth")

18th century

• According to one account, this is the era when the battlestar Galactica is constructed in the Twelve Colonies. (Battlestar Galactica: "The Hand of God")

19th century
