Arret was an ancient planet in the Beta Quadrant of the Milky Way galaxy, hundreds of light-years beyond Federation space in the 2260s. Once Class M, all life on the planet was annihilated some 500,000 years before the 23rd century. It had been the homeworld of the Arretians, a progenitor species believed to have seeded Vulcanoid life throughout the galaxy.
In 2268, the USS Enterprise discovered Arret and found the life essences of Sargon, Thalassa and Henoch, the last three survivors of the conflict that had destroyed their planet. (TOS: "Return to Tomorrow")
