Arog was a Ferengi male serving in the Federation Starfleet during the early 25th century. He had been inspired to join Starfleet by Captain Nog.
While on away missions, he typically wore a traditional Ferengi energy whip as a sidearm.
- The character of Arog was created as a tribute to the late actor Aron Eisenberg and his role of Nog from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
