Amniphon was a Class M planet in the Demilitarized Zone between the United Federation of Planets and the Cardassian Union. It was the site of a Federation colony.
In 2371, a massive rockslide believed to have been triggered by Cardassian agents killed thousands of colonists there and caused massive damage to the colony's infrastructure, including its computerized records system.
When Tuvok infiltrated the Maquis, his records were altered as part of his backstop to show that he and his family moved to Amniphon in 2368, and that his wife and children where killed in the tragedy. (VOY novel: The Third Artifact)
Logan Celes, a Bajoran-human hybrid, lived on Amniphon in the 2380s. (Star Trek: Pendragon)
