The following events occurred in the year 2389 according to the Earth calendar and corresponds to the stardate period 66000 to 66999.

Events[]

  • The infighting among the Romulan factions, and even between neighboring colony worlds, continues to grow. Over the course of the year, no less than five individuals try have themselves proclaimed emperor, more than two dozen declare themselves praetor, and at least a dozen more claim the role of supreme commander of the Imperial fleet. Most of these individuals meet with quick assassinations; a lucky few are simply ignored and fade back into obscurity. (STO: The Path to 2409)
  • The Klingon Empire takes advantage of the confusion in Romulan space, and annexes the Tranome Sar and Nequencia systems. (STO: The Path to 2409)
  • The conflict between the Klingons and the Gorn heats up again as the two powers vie for control of the Gamma Orionis system. The Gorn gain the upper hand when they negotiate a contract with the Nausicaans for ships and weapons in exchange for asteroid mining rights and a substantial payment.   • Within the Klingon Empire itself, internal strife begins to divide the Great Houses. The blood feud between the House of B'vat and House of Mo'kai is just one such conflict that reignites during this era, eventually leading to fall and dissolution of House Mo'kai by mid-Spring.   • In the Cardassian Union, the civilian government continues to face challenges by the pro-military factions and groups like the True Way. (STO: The Path to 2409)
  • Former Gul Madred begins an expansive mining operation in the Septimus system, the resources from which will be secretly channeled to the True Way. (STO: The Path to 2409)
