The following events occurred in the year 2384 according to the Earth calendar and corresponds to the stardate period 61000 to 61999.
Events[]
- The Archein Empire, a power in the Andromeda Galaxy opens a wormhole to the Beta Quadrant, and begins an invasion of the Milky Way Galaxy. (ODY: "Iliad")
- February
- 16 February (stardate 61125.8): On a mission to destroy the Archein wormhole generator in Andromeda, the USS Odyssey is stranded. Many of the crew are killed, among them half the command staff. (ODY: "Iliad")
- May
- 27 May (stardate 61403.7): Having reached Federation space, the USS Protostar is attacked by an armada of Starfleet vessels. Despite the efforts of the Protostar crew, and Admiral Kathryn Janeway aboard the USS Dauntless, a communications signal is sent allowing the living construct to infect the fleet as each ship automatically spreads the signal. Many more starships answer the automated distress signals and are destroyed or severely damaged in the firefight, with their crews unable to regain control of their systems. The Protostar crew is able to stop the assault by setting their ship's protostar drive to self-destruct as it jumps into proto-warp, spreading the destruction out along the ship's trajectory. (PRO: "Supernova, Part 1", "Supernova, Part 2")
- A number Starfleet vessels destroyed in the Living Construct's assault, while many more are severely damaged, including the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-E). (PRO: "Supernova, Part 2")
- June
- One month after the destruction of the Protostar, Admiral Janeway is debriefed at Starfleet Headquarters. Shortly thereafter, the six members of the Protostar crew are brought before a Starfleet tribunal, where Janeway argues in their favor. The end result is that five of them will be assigned as warrant officers-in-training under her command, while Gwyn indicates she declined the offer so she could travel to Solum, the Vau N'Akat homeworld, and work to prevent the coming civil war there. (PRO: "Supernova, Part 2")
- September
- Wormhole activity is detected, leading to anticipation of a second Archein invasion.
- 21 September (stardate 61723.8): Operation Beta Shield establishes a joint Starfleet-KDF task force to defend the Beta Quadrant from Archein assault and find a way to destroy their wormholes. (Star Trek: Operation Beta Shield)
- November
- Bajor renews its application for Federation membership. (STO: The Path to 2409)

Possibilities[]
- The following data points constitute conjectural events that may or may occur.
- March
- During a classified summit on Orion Prime, Federation President Nanietta Bacco and Imperator Sozzerozs of the Gorn Hegemony are assassinated.
- As events would have played out in the TNG novel: Silent Weapons without Data's prior resurrection.
- After the assassination, control of the Gorn Hegemony falls to King Xrathis, who sends a fleet to the Orion system, which is met by a Starfleet armada. War seems inevitable, though no one knows on whom.
- The Romulan Star Empire and other factions officially condemn the assassinations. However, once the the Breen Confederacy is eventually revealed to be behind the plot, the entire Typhon Pact is thrown into disarray. The Romulans and Kinshaya disavow the Confederacy's actions, while the Tholian Assembly and Tzenkethi Coalition give their tacit support.
- In actuality, the assassination's success was not part of the Breen's plan. The Breen merely wished to distract the Federation in order to accomplish another objective entirely, the retrieval of of jump-ship from another universe, which had crashed on a remote Federation world. The attack only succeeded because of Undine intervention.
- The Federation Council selects a President Pro Tempore, and calls for a special election to take place in one month's time.
- April
- Se'Fron of Efros is elected President of the United Federation of Planets.
- Adapted from Hidden Frontier, based on a combined timeline with the Litverse and events leading into Star Trek: Picard.
Other realities[]
- In an alternate timeline, Jake Sisko marries Azeni Korena this year or the year after. (DS9: "The Visitor")

- It is quite likely this occurred earlier outside of the STO timeline
- 30 October (stardate 61829.83): The IKS Quv is attacked by a Gorn vessel, resulting in the deaths of 207 Klingon warriors and the capture of the surviving crew. According to King Xrathis, the commander of the warship was acting without orders. (STO: The Path to 2409)
- After Xrathis refuses to repatriate the Quv survivors to the Klingon Empire, Chancellor Martok expels all Gorn diplomats from the empire and orders ships to the Klingon-Gorn border. (STO: The Path to 2409)

- Odo, acting as the Great Link's ambassador, meets with Laas on Koralis III. Odo invites Laas to return with him to the Link, but Laas refuses the offer and instead chooses to remain the Alpha Quadrant searching for others of the Hundred. (STO: The Path to 2409)
