Other realities[]
First Splinter timeline[]
- January: Praetor Tal'Aura dies on Romulus. Though it appears she died of natural causes -- a disease known as Velderix Riehn’va - the Praetor was in fact assassinated by agents of the Typhon Pact. The death of the Praetor marks the start of a struggle for leadership in the Romulan Star Empire, and several praetors pass through quick succession over the next several years. (Star Trek: Typhon Pact novel: Rough Beasts of Empire)
- During an interstellar summit aimed at helping solve their reproductive crisis, the Andorian population learns that data classified by the Federation over a century earlier holds the key to their survival. This leads to a referendum in which Andor secedes from the United Federation of Planets. The entire situation had been secretly orchestrated by the Tholian Assembly, who had been spoon-feeding their own meta-genome research to the Andorians for the past year, in order to sow disaffection towards the UFP. (Star Trek: Typhon Pact novel: Paths of Disharmony; Star Trek: The Fall novel: A Ceremony of Losses)
- Andorian citizens living offworld or serving in Starfleet are recalled home to Andor, though many refuse to go back, and choose to retain Federation citizenship. (Star Trek: Typhon Pact novel: Paths of Disharmony; TTN novel: Fallen Gods)
- After the Andorian secession, Lieutenant Thirishar ch'Thane resigns his Starfleet commission in order to remain on Andor, trying to cure his species' fertility issues. (ST novel: Paths of Disharmony).
The Path to 2409[]
- Taking advantage of the political turmoil in Romulan space, the Klingons begins conquering worlds along their shared border. The Federation Council publicly criticizes the move, which strains relations between the UFP and the Klingon Empire. Both Empires reject Federation attempts to mediate. (STO: The Path to 2409)
- It is unclear if this takes place in Pendragon continuity.
