The following events occurred in the year 2380 according to the Earth calendar and corresponds to the stardate period 57000 to 57999.

- While researching an experimental form of dilithium on Etaris IV, Dr. Leah Brahms is abducted by the Talarians. In response, the Centaur-class USS Resolute is dispatched to retrieve her. (ST comic: Resurgence)
- Circa this year or the next, the USS Protostar, prototype of her class is launched under the command of Captain Chakotay. The ship's mission is a return to the Delta Quadrant, to follow up on the exploration done by the USS Voyager on her journey home. To that end, the Protostar serves as a test-bed for several new technologies, most especially the experimental gravimetric protostar containment drive. (PRO: "Asylum", et. al)
- The USS Vesta (NCC-82601) enters service this year, along with the next several ships of her class, including the USS Aventine. They are among the first generation of Starfleet vessels equipped with quantum slipstream drive. (TNG novel: Greater Than the Sum)

- 6 December (stardate 57931.4): After departing the USS Excelsior, Commander Jara Rydek arrives at Starbase 128 and assumes the post of first officer aboard the USS Resolute. - Following the Tkon incident, Commander Rydek is promoted to Captain, and given permanent command of the Resolute. (ST game: Resurgence)
