- April: The Ohalu Prophecies are discovered at the archaeological dig at B'hala. The Vedek Assembly seeks to suppress them, but Colonel Kira Nerys uploads them to the Bajoran comnet, leading Vedek Yevir Linjarin to declare her Attainted in reprisal.
- April: Learning of the prophecies of the Avatar and the Herald, Jake Sisko sneaks away from DS9 aboard the shuttlecraft Venture, hoping to find his father in the Bajoran wormhole.
