Background[]
- Certain episodes have been moved out of production order:
- "Arena" is placed towards the end of this year as opposed to early 2267 based on references in VAN novel: Open Secrets and other books.
- "The Galileo Seven" and "Court "Martial" are tentatively placed here to preserve production order as much as possible, and allow time for the change in command at Starbase 11 from Commodore Stone to Commodore Mendez.
- "Shore Leave" is placed here to account for "three months without shore leave," which means it must be before the ship's extended refit around the time of "Tomorrow Is Yesterday". This also fits the "fifteen years" references to Kirk's first year at the Academy better.
- "Charlie X" takes place over Thanksgiving, making it November, in either 2265 or 2266. Rand's presence could place it very early in the 5YM, but Uhura's switch to the operations division pushes it until after "Mudd's Women" at least. The latter date is more likely, given all the evidence.
- "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" is placed in December 2266 based on the DTI novel "Forgotten History"
