Initially, blame falls on the Syrranite movement, but an investigation by Captain Archer and T'Pol uncovers the true culprits: Administrator V'Las and elements within the Vulcan High Command. Secretly advised by the Romulans, V'Las sought to discredit the Syrranites and launch an invasion of Andoria, which the Romulans hoped would destabilize the region and drive a wedge between Vulcan and Earth. The discovery of the Kir'Shara and revelations of V'Las' complicity in the bombing, result in the disbanding of the High Command. En route to Babel, the Enterprise picks up Shran and his crew. Despite tensions between the two species, and more attacks, an alliance is formed between Humans, Andorians, Tellarites and Vulcans in order to hunt down the drone ship. The investigation leads them to Andoria, where it is revealed that the pilot was an Aenar kidnapped from Andoria by parties unknown. The incident is resolved when the Aenar pilot realizes he's been tricked by the Romulans and self-destructs one of the drones. (ENT: "Babel One", "United", "The Aenar")
